Fun at King's Island - August 2009

We promised the kids we would go to King's Island this summer so a few weeks before they went back to school and we realized summer was almost over, we packed up and went.

Randy, Jessie, and Brady are the brave ones....
they ride all the insane rides while Rylee and I enjoy the senior citizen rides. You will usually find us in the kiddie area.

Randy almost met his demise on the Diamond Back...the huge roller coaster in these pics. He didn't think the seat belt "locked" properly and the whole time was expecting to be flung from the ride at any moment. That was probably the longest 4 minutes of his life!

The cool shades are for an indoor 3-D SpongeBob ride. This is a must every time we go. As SpongeBob says...Good Times! I actually have a picture almost exactly like this from 3+ years ago. I wish I had it here to compare how much they've grown.

Jess and Brady were the only ones to ride the Drop Zone. The rest of us stayed on the ground. They said you can see the whole park from the top. I'm sure it's lovely.

We all had a wonderful time!

PS - There's always an open invitation if anyone wants to come with us! ;)

My trip to Utah ( originally made 8/2/09...never published, oops )

Caleb at Taco Time.

I know this is pitiful, but I love this place...it's part of my childhood and I only get to eat there when I'm home. Thanks for indulging me everyone!

Missing In Action

Dear Family,

As you can tell this blog hasn't been updated for quite some time...
The reason for this is that I finally got my mom to read the Twilight Series! I told her she wouldn't regret it and since then she has devoured 3 of the 4 books. She's on the 4th one right now(:
I can't tell you how many times we've watched the movie......actually I can, its been 7 times ha! We're counting down the days until the sequel, we're pretty stoked!(:

Since she's been busy reading, I thought I would take over her job(: I'll give a re-cap of the whole month since shes been MIA.
Dad- Wrestling, Wrestling, Wrestling, He referees wrestling, he watches wrestling, and coaches Brady on his wrestling. His passion for wrestling is very admirable(: He bought a Bread Maker Machine, and its pretty sweet. We made some last night and slathered it with butter. It tasted just like the bread Gramma Stones has(:
Mom- Busy reading, driving us kids to sports, and working on church stuff.
Me- Track conditioning....yuck.
Brady- Wrestling, and War-Craft..hes such a nerd ha!
Rylee- Basketball, she's a beast(:

That pretty much sums it up!

Love you all,
Jesssssssie!

Big Gurl Furniture

We heard from a little birdie that we were in trouble for not sending some pictures to a few birds who flew south for the winter. So here's how the girls' rooms have turned out so far.

Jessie and I have decided we don't like the two-tone paint in her room so guess what I'll be doing when I have some days off! (:

Rylee's room still needs some pictures for her wall and more light since she doesn't have any windows. When we took down the Christmas tree we used one of the strings of lights to put around the bottom of her loft which gave it a nice glow. Her room has become a hangout for all of us--I don't think she expected that when she asked to move so she'd have a room of her own.

Pictures follow:(if the pictures are too small, click on them to get a larger view)
Randy spent Christmas day putting together furniture, and the day after, Matt came over and helped him tackle some of the larger pieces (thanks Matt!). Then we celebrated by going to our annual night after Christmas movie. This year we went to "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler.

Rylee's room:
This is Ry's wardrobe....it has two closet doors -one with a mirror, to hang her clothes, and the third door has shelves.

This is her loft bed with nightlights attached to the wall and below her computer and chairs for hanging out.

Full view, or as close as I can get, of her room with Jessie dancing her way out of the picture...a little too slow...sorry Jess, got you anyway.

Jessie's room:
Jessie's bed is on one end of her room and her dresser is on the other end.

Just a few more angles. These two things, the little table my dad made and the bookcase, are the only pieces of furniture left of the "old" bedroom.

I think that about wraps it up!
